Open Tournaments 2025

Meriden Archery Club Open Tournaments

Meriden Archery Club is running six Open Tournaments during 2025 and full details of each of these will be shown below once they are finalised. Addition information in the form of the Tournament Prospectus, which contains a link to the Entry Form, will be available by clicking on the link for for each tournament. Links for the Results Sheets will be added as soon as they become available.

Apart from the Junior Series Finals, Tournaments are open to any archer currently affiliated to Archery GB, and Dress Regulations as shown in Rule 307 will apply.

The 2025 tournaments are:

  • Spring WA 720 with Head-to-Heads
    Sunday 13th April 2025

  • Spring Bank Holiday WA 720 with Head-to-Heads
    Monday 26th May 2025

  • Summer Double WA 720
    To be finalised

  • Junior Archery Series Finals
    Saturday 6th September
    2025

  • Autumn WA 720 with Head-to-Heads
    To be finalised

  • Eileen Plenderleith Memorial Windsor (inc. Novices)
    Sunday 28th September 2025


Notes:

    • All record status shoots are liable for drug testing and competitors approached by an official to give a sample must comply. Any refusal will be treated as a positive result. Where an entry form contains one or more junior competitors, a parent or guardian must sign the form to signify that they consent to their child being tested if approached.
    • Entries for Juniors must be signed by a parent or guardian.
    • Anyone wishing to use photographic/video equipment at a tournament must register prior to the start of the shoot. This includes the use of mobile phone cameras.

Archery GB Rule 307 (c): Dress Regulations

(c) Members of Archery GB shooting and officiating at tournaments granted UK or World Record Status by Archery GB are required to wear clothing that is appropriate, clean, in good condition (i.e. not frayed or worn, either deliberately or by use) and conventional in style and appearance. In particular:

(i) Tops or shirts must cover the front and back of the body (including the midriff when at full draw), they must not be strapless and, for gentlemen, must include sleeves.

(ii) Any colour garments may be worn with the exception of blue denim, olive drab and camouflage pattern.

(iii) Badges, Logos and Wording.

  1. Clothing manufacturers’ trademarks are allowed. The wearer’s name is allowed.
  2. Individuals, and members of clubs and other archery organisations that are commercially sponsored may wear sponsors’ logos and names during the sponsorship period only.
  3. Other wording or badges on clothing must represent archery organisations.

(iv) Members of Archery GB who are officiating as the Chairman of Judges, Judge or Director of Shooting at a UK or World Record Status tournament shall wear Archery GB recognised Judges official dress.

(v) A member of Archery GB who has represented Great Britain (GBR) as an archer at an international tournament may wear their international shooting uniform for the remainder of that season and the following one.
